The English Department looks forward to upgrade the use of English language among its students in line with the local standards and to develop its program into one of the leading institutions in English language teaching and learning.

After completing his/her study of the requirements in the department, the graduate student is awarded a bachelor's degree in arts and education in teaching English.
Entry Reuirements
Students wishing to enrol in the department should meet the following conditions:
v The student must have obtained a secondary school certificate in both sections (literary or scientific) from a Libyan school, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the competent recognition authorities
v The student should be able and healthy in terms of pronunciation, provided that the tongue is not stung
v That the student must have obtained the approved percentage for admission to the college in accordance with the system specified by the department
v The student must comply with all applicable laws and regulations within the department
The student must pass the written and oral entrance exam with at least 50%
Study Plan
The Bachelor in English Language prepares students to qualify for Bachelor in English Language. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.
It comprises 8 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 136 units, which include 44 units of general subjects, and 88 major units, 4 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.
