Early childhood is a critical formative stage in human life. It is the stage in which the first seeds of human personality are planted, which will eventually take shape and reveal their features. It is also the stage in which a child's abilities develop, their talents are revealed, and their interests and inclinations are determined.
In addition, the Department of Early Childhood Education seeks to prepare academic and educational cadres for kindergarten teachers in a comprehensive and integrated manner, academically, professionally, psychologically, and educationally, in line with global developments in this field.
Therefore, the Department of Early Childhood Education strives to achieve excellence in the field of university education and scientific research, as well as in the field of child education and teaching, through enriching the educational and research process in the department, and qualifying national cadres specialized in the field of early childhood education in line with international standards in the field of early childhood education.
The department also seeks to enhance cooperation between it and the Ministry of Education in the city of Tripoli, child care institutions, and the local community in a way that serves the department's goals and enhances the values of volunteering and community service, which are considered to be among the most important goals of the Faculty of Education at the University of Tripoli.
Finally, we hope that the department will play its role in preparing qualified national cadres in the field of early childhood education, and in serving the local and international community. May God grant us success.

The department is committed to creating a creative and stimulating educational environment that contributes to creating an education that lasts through different stages of life. This is done through graduating an outstanding teacher with high competence in dealing with children and developing the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them in a comprehensive manner in all educational, psychological, physical, and health aspects. The department's mission also extends to include raising the level of professional competence during service and improving educational research in the field of child studies.
Objectives
- Providing students with the knowledge and sciences about the importance of the stage in building the child's personality and learning.
- Providing students with the information and experiences necessary to understand the nature of the child and their growth in all areas, and preparing them to take on the tasks of teaching and supervising nurseries and kindergartens in all government and private institutions.
- Training students in modern teaching methods in this field and providing them with modern practical training to provide children with the necessary educational and behavioral foundations and concepts.
- Contributing to students' understanding of the nature of kindergarten curricula, the basics of child activities, and new experiences.
