Delegation of UoT convenes meeting at Italian Embassy Working from its position as a house of expertise, the University of Tripoli holds a meeting with the Head of the Libyan-Italian Initiative of Rural Development for Food Security. It is believed that rural communities in the southern region have a capacity of excellent response to such initiatives. The UoT team included representatives from the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Center for Research, Consultation and Training, and in coordination and presence of the Director of the International Cooperation Office "Dr. Adel Dhiyaf". The delegation met with the Head of the Initiative and the Head of the International Center for Advanced Agricultural Studies in the Mediterranean Sea. The meeting went through the project details and the role that the University of Tripoli will play through the experiences it possesses. Talks centered around ways of developing projects accompanying this initiative that would support research groups and scientific research at the university, as such moves would increase the research activities in the University and enhance its societal role.On the sidelines of the meeting, the Director of the International Cooperation Office and the Head of Cooperation and Cultural Relations at the Italian Embassy discussed several issues related to cooperation agreements between the university and its counterparts in the Italian arena. The meeting ended with coordination that a delegation from the Italian embassy and the project management visit UoT in the near future.
