The Department of Internet Technologies was established during the academic year 2014-2015 as one of the scientific departments at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Tripoli. This department is concerned with qualifying and preparing a new generation of designers and developers of Internet programming systems, using modern technologies, and developing websites and Internet applications in order to meet the needs of the labor market and institutions. Libyan growing in this area.

The curricula of the Internet Technologies Department were developed after referring to sources and associations specialized in developing Internet programming curricula such as ACM and IEEE, which will result in graduating developers of Internet programming systems with international standard qualifications, which will enable them to continue their higher and precise studies locally and abroad and compete to obtain the most prestigious international certificates.
