After the development witnessed by the Faculty of Languages at the University of Tripoli in the past years, it had to look beyond its walls and assume the societal responsibility entrusted to it.
The Faculty of Languages has given the aspect of consulting and scientific research great attention, and this was an effort by the Faculty of Languages to achieve a leadership goal to activate the role of the Faculty of Languages in sustainable development in general in the State of Libya.
The Office of Research and Consultation represents the college’s window on the community to find its needs and meet its requirements, as the main task that the office seeks to achieve is to provide specialized human cadres affiliated with the Faculty of Languages at the University of Tripoli academically and administratively to meet the needs of the public and private sectors and in the field of consulting and scientific research.
The office, faculty members, researchers, and cooperation with experienced people in the university as a whole will seek to be the ideal choice for government and private sectors and institutions through the quality outputs it provides and supervises in all fields.

To be the first choice at the local and regional level in the completion of research and advisory projects with high quality.
Mission
The office seeks to contribute to the provision of research services, studies, consultations and training in the basic issues related to keeping pace with the development of language sciences, translation, education and learning, which allows the possibility of presenting appropriate models in distinguished scientific methods and with high professionalism that keep pace with the development of language sciences, translation, education and learning.
Objectives
The Office of Research and Consultation at the College of Languages aims to achieve the following goals:
- Contribute to the establishment of training, cultural and advisory courses and issuance of publications to spread the culture of consultation and scientific research.
- Spreading and increasing knowledge and scientific awareness of scientific publications, each in his field of specialization.
- Contribute to providing financial support to the college to raise the efficiency of the educational, research and administrative process.
- Establishing firm rules and regulations for scientific research in the service of community issues, interacting with its issues, and contributing to its activities related to scientific research and consultations.
- Conducting research and providing scientific advice required by the community in the field of language sciences, translation, teaching and learning.
- Closer links and scientific links with scientific research centers accredited locally and regionally.
- Contribute to any work that would serve the fields of linguistics, translation, education and learning, and raise the scientific level of those in charge of it.
- Directing the applied and advisory research activity at the university in accordance with the requirements of development and the knowledge society in all fields.
- Building links between the college and the public and private sectors by providing research, advisory and study services to them in exchange for money, which benefits both parties.
- Marketing the college's research and advisory services to the public and private sectors.
- Representing the university in companies or commercial projects that it establishes or participates in, in a way that guarantees its rights.
- Developing effective integration mechanisms among the material capabilities of the college and encouraging competition and coordination between research teams within the university, which leads to the highest return on material and human resources, especially the abilities and competencies of faculty members at the university.
- The office has the exclusive authority to conclude agreements and promote cooperation between the parties inside and outside the college and university in the field of work of the office.
