The comprehensive journalist course 2 ends today with the participation of 12 Libyan universities
The (2nd Comprehensive Journalist Course) has ended before noon, Today, Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the University of Tripoli in the presence of Prof. Madani Dakhil, President of the University of Tripoli, Dr. Mabrouk Fares, Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs and Dr. Abdel Hakim Madi. The dean of Arts and Media faculty, Dr. Khaled Gholam, Media Lab Director, Mr. Wael Abuhrous, IWPR Reporter, a number of trainers/ teachers, and a group of the parents of the students and trainees in addition to guests. Many speeches were delivered on the occasion, which stressed the importance of continuing organizing such training programs. The speeches, also, highlighted the initiative of gathering several Libyan universities, In the campus of Tripoli University along with the strong message that this educational and training gathering convey which brings together a gathering of students affiliated to Faculties and departments of media in the Libyan universities, spread throughout Libya. This message indicates that Libya is one country that accommodates all Libyans as well as that what brings the Libyans together is much more important, stronger and greater, than any temporary differences. From their part, a number of Libyan university students expressed their thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the participants of the comprehensive journalism course 2, stressing that they benefited from this training course, which enhanced their knowledge and information. It, also,, added much to their media skills.
Instuctor, Tariq Al-Ruwaimd gave a speech on behalf of the trainers, in which he praised the level of the students participating in the comprehensive journalism course 2, wishing them success in their studies and success in the field of media work.
In the atmosphere of happiness, proudness and enjoyment, the handing over of the participation certificates started , with the participation of Prof. Dr. Al-Madani Al-Dakhil, President of the University of Tripoli, Dr. Al-Mabrouk Faris, Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs , Dr. Abdul Hakim Madi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Media, Ali Al-Hattab, Head of Media Department at Al-Zawia University, Dr. Khaled Ghulam, Director of Media Lab, and Wael Abuhrous, IWPR Reporter.
At the end of the ceremony, a memorial pictures were taken with President of the University of Tripoli, officials and gusts along with the trainees , students and instructors/professors , and those in charge of this training course. It is worth mentioning that the comprehensive training course was held by the Media Lab at the University of Tripoli. The training course lasted 26 days at 6 hours per day during the period from 01 to 29 August 2017. It included 11 training workshops, with the participation of (10) specialized trainers in the fields of technical information, education and occupational safety. (16) students attended the course representing (12) Libyan Universities, namely: University of Tobruk, University of Omar Mukhtar- Albayda , Benghazi University, University of Sirte , University of Misurata, Asmaria University in Zlitane, University of Sabha, Zaytouna University -Tarhona, University of Jafara, Al-Zawia University, Sabratha University, and the Open university).
