Veterinary Experts Forum   on the Sidelines of  Celebrating   the 60th Anniversary of Founding Tripoli   University

The meeting of veterinary experts on the sidelines of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of   founding of Tripoli  University.  

A meeting of veterinary experts was held yesterday, Monday at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tripoli as part of the third day of the faculty celebration.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Tripoli University, Dr. Abu Bakr Mohammed Qarabaj, Chairman of the Management Committee of the National Center for Animal Health Dr. Zakaria M. Khattal and a number of researchers and faculty members of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture - Tripoli University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Omar Al-Mukhtar Al-Bayda University, Zaytouna University, and the National Center for Food and Drug Control, specifications and Standards Centre environment protection center, the blue crescent clinic and a number of private companies supplying meat and poultry.

The meeting included three main topics: control of trans-boundary animal diseases and viral diseases affecting poultry, butcheries and food security. These topics were discussed and recommendations were issued to improve the labor market. A technical agreement was also concluded between the National Center for Animal Health and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Tripoli University provides for technical cooperation between the two institutions in order to approach practical scientific and field experiences.
