The First Anniversary of the Death of  Dr. Muhammed Abdul Majeed Shakroun

On Tuesday, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli, held a memorial service to the late Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Majid on the first anniversary of his death, in honor of his efforts. Dr. Shagroun was  one of the early founders of the Faculty of Agriculture. The service was attended by the university president Dr. Nabil Al-Natah, who delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of honoring the scholars and the intellectuals. It was, also, attended by Nouri Al-Sahli Madi, the dean of the faculty of agriculture and Dr. Abdul Mwali Al-Baghdadi, who delivered a poem in the lament of Dr. Shagroun. The e family of the late Dr. Shagroun attended the service as well, in addition to a crowd of the faculty members, students, and the friends of the late Dr. The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture also delivered a speech of eulogy in which he praised his morals, knowledge and dedication. He also proposed the creation of a prize in the name of the late Dr. under the name of  "Shagroun Prize for Agricultural Sciences." The College also prepared a biography booklet on Dr. Shagroun  entitled "The Scholar We Lost" By Dr. Saleh Mustafa Al-Nuweissiri (University Publications 2018).
