In celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the University of Tripoli, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tripoli planned the scientific day and the open day on Sunday morning at the Faculty of Pharmacy, where many lectures and scientific seminars were held on the development of the pharmacy profession in the world. On the sidelines of the open day there was a Bazaar with the participation and support of several pharmaceutical companies which was aimed to collect donations for children suffering from cancer.

The seminar was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Issa Al-Omayani, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Dr. Abdul Raouf Al-Qasabi, faculty members from Benghazi University, pharmacists from various hospitals in Tripoli, faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Tripoli and a number of male and female students.

The opening lecture was delivered by Dr. Abdul Basset Al-Faytouri, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Al-Zawya University, on "Pharmaceutical status and pharmaceutical services in Libya"
