Libyan Society of Medical Laboratories Holds its First Conference
Today morning at Rasheed Ka'bar auditorium within Tripoli University, The Libyan Society of Medical Laboratories held its first conference, under the slogan of
“Laboratories, Reality and Prospects” in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Uzi, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Abdul Karim Kinder, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Information, in addition to the President and members of the “Libyan Laboratories and Science Society”, a representative of Tripoli University Students Union, students of the Faculty of Medical Technology, and many of those interested and specialists in the field of medical laboratories. Dr. Al-Uzi delivered the speech of the University. He highlighted the role of laboratories and their importance, whether from the scientific research or medical and health side. During the two-day conference, many of the topics were discussed including developing a mechanism to dispose laboratory medical waste, establishing a balance between the public and private sector along with the reality of medical laboratories in Libya. It is worth mentioning that this conference was sponsored by Tripoli University Students General Union and Al-qimma Academy for Education, Training and Research.
