On behalf of myself and my fellow faculty members in the Department of Zoology, I welcome the visitors of the page of the Department of Zoology at the Faculty of Science - University of Tripoli on the university's website. The Department of Zoology is one of the main departments of the college and the academic program of the department includes five basic and applied divisions for the bachelor's degree level, in addition to that, the department provides several specialized programs for the master's degree level, and the department seeks through its mission to build scientifically and technically qualified capabilities capable of innovation, creativity, excellence and leadership in the field of university education and scientific research, and competition in the local and international labor market, in addition to providing scientific advice in many areas that serve the community and achieve its ambitions.

Mission
Building scientifically and technically qualified capabilities capable of competing in the local and international labor market, in addition to development and renewal that achieves innovation, creativity, excellence and leadership in the field of university education, scientific research and community service.
Objectives
1. Preparing technical cadres who can use biological sciences and modern technologies.
2. Developing research programs to raise their quality.
3. Use modern teaching and learning methods and techniques.
4. Introducing accurate scientific techniques to the college.
5. Establishing workshops and training, and preparing specialized technical cadres for public and private entities.
6. Contribute to the preparation and implementation of scientific development plans that the State intends to carry out.
7. Conducting research and studies that may help find solutions to the intractable and new scientific aspects in the scientific fields related to the branches of zoology.
8. Attracting technical expertise to cooperate with the department.
9. Developing the capabilities of faculty members and all employees in the department.
