Due to the importance of physical education and sensing the need of the local community for specialists in this field, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences has sought to establish the Department of Physical Education and put it in its correct academic scope to achieve the message of self-sufficiency of the local community of physical education graduates to carry out their mission in the service of the educational process in order to achieve the principle of the desired integration in this system, which has an important role in ensuring the correct upbringing of members of the dear community.
The Department of Physical Education is one of three departments in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The program prepares students to be physical education teachers in the basic and secondary education stages, both public and private. The program also prepares students for higher education (Masters) as well as other opportunities in the fields of fitness and sports. The physical education curriculum is structured around the concept that the sciences of motor skills, intellectual development, physical fitness at all stages of a person's life, and healthy practices are the elements that must be taught and promoted in the school system.
To meet the mission and vision of the program, the College strives to recruit highly qualified professors who excel in teaching and research and have a passion for public service.
